Set at the foot of the Slieve Bloom Mountains in the centre of Ireland, Ballyfin is a place of history and romance, of tranquility and great natural beauty. The house has long been admired as the most lavish Regency mansion in Ireland, and after eight years of restoration, Ballyfin opened in May 2011 as a small country house hotel like no other. The hotel offers the very best of Irish hospitality in the most beautiful surroundings imaginable. With only fifteen rooms for the 600 acre estate, Ballyfin is the perfect place for a break from the stresses of the modern world and provides discretion and privacy like few other destinations.

Accommodations:

Each of the 15 bedrooms are individually decorated and furnished with important Irish art and antiques from around the world. Every room and suite in Ballyfin offers an array of amenities specially chosen to give guests a sense of Irish tradition and hospitality. Amenities include laundry and unpacking services, turndown, complimentary mini bar, WiFi, iPod and dock, TV and DVD player, Voya Bath & Body products, Sally Miller handmade soap and more.

Dining:

The finest ingredients are used at Ballyfin and when possible sourced locally from artisan suppliers or grown in Ballyfin’s gardens. Guests are welcome to pick their own fruit or vegetables from the garden or collect eggs from the free-range hens. Executive Chef, Fred Cordonnier can meet with guests individually to discuss favorite foods, Irish recipes, or particular ingredients so that Ballyfin can best accommodate guests’ preferences.  With a maximum 29 guests able to stay at Ballyfin, this approach comes close to having your own private chef. Ballyfin offers a wide choice of dining locations, whether low key or formal.

Activities:

Fishing, croquet, clay pigeon shooting, tennis, archery, falconry, hiking, biking, swimming, horseback riding.

Spa:

Two treatment rooms (one of which can serve as a 'couples room') and highly professional therapists add further to the well-being experience at Ballyfin. The hotel’s spa features VOYA Organic beauty products, using 100% certified Organic seaweed as its base ingredient. The extensive treatment menu encompasses facials, massages & body treatments, pedicures & manicures.

Rates:

Bedroom rates per night start at €600.00 for a single room and range up to €1,400.00 for a suite. A full property take over is €14,500 per day. Nightly room rates are based on double occupancy – other than for the one single room - and are inclusive of daily breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, drinks from the minibar, and pre-dinner drinks reception and use of most on-site recreational facilities, VAT and gratuities.
